What is collected
If you enter your email address into a form on this site, that address is stored so a launch-day discount code and occasional updates about the book can be sent to you. That is the only personal information collected, and it is only collected when you type it in yourself.
If you take the Unworthy Man Test, your anonymous score and result are recorded so aggregate patterns can be studied. That record is not attached to your name, your email address, or your identity in any way, and it cannot be traced back to you.
This site may use standard, privacy-respecting analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. Analytics data is aggregate. It is not used to identify individual visitors.
What is never done
Your email address is never sold, rented, shared, traded or passed to any third party for any purpose. You will not be added to anyone else's list. There is no advertising network buying access to you here.
How long it is kept
Your email address is kept until you ask for it to be removed, or until the book's launch mailing has run its course and the list is no longer in use — whichever comes first.
Getting your data removed
Email Sebastian@sebastiandevonshire.com and ask. No explanation required, no attempt to talk you out of it, no form to fill in. Your address will be deleted and you will get one short reply confirming it is done. Every email sent from this list also carries an unsubscribe link.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what data is held about you, to have it corrected, or to have it erased. Use the same address. The answer will be yes.
Who runs this
Sebastian Devonshire is a pen name. This site and the mailing list are operated by the author of What Men Really Want, and correspondence reaches a real person at Sebastian@sebastiandevonshire.com.
